Heard this bird yesterday evening while I was out in the yard and knew he would be there this morning since it was late. Knowing that it was gonna be cold and they probably wouldn't gobble much I decided to go where I knew one was. Climbed the hill before it got light and set up on the upper side of the power line. Started to get light and he let out a gobble 60 yards away. He was the only bird I heard and I bet he gobbled 500 times. From the top I can hear for miles and nothing but this bird made a sound. I couldn't see him because a cedar tree was between me and him. When he pitched out he landed about 40 yards away but still had some of the cedar blocking my view. I made a couple of very soft yelps and here he come putting on a heck of a show and how cool is it when they gobble in your face at 15 yards! I let him clear some other small limbs and let him have it, done by 6:15. Awesome morning!

22lbs.

Good deal! Love the photos... especially the black and white. Along with everyone else I love color photos and it seems most have gotten away from black and whites. Sometimes the contrast between them and color photos really makes the "target" stand out, particularly on sunny days where shadows disrupt the picture.
