As of 8:10 this morning, Raylan is officially tagged out on bucks! He made a dandy quartering away shot on a nice 5 point at the same persimmon tree I killed my 6 at Wednesday. It was his first deer with his rifle he got for Christmas last year. His shot was 100 yds with a CVA Cascade .350 Legend using Hornady American Whitetail 170 grain PSP's. Entered behind the shoulder taking out the opposite shoulder. The heart was completely destroyed. The buck went 60 yds. It's been the greatest deer season of my life watching him learn to hunt big and small game. Praise the Lord!!!
Disclaimer: Before anyone panics, he put another coat on over his orange while we took pics and loaded the deer. He was shivering!😂 The truck is just out of the frame.

Congratulations guys!!! I love the little 350 legend, weve been really impressed with it so far
That's the first deer I've seen shot with it in person. We really couldn't have asked for it to do any better. I did change ammo from the Winchester Deer SeasonXP 150's to the American Whitetail 170's after hearing and reading about lack of pass through and blood. Definitely no issue with that today. And thanks buddy!

We stocked up on the federal blue box 180's and also have a case of the american whitetails fir back ups if the blue box ever quit. All deer weve shot with them have been hearts shots , with complete pass thru, that leave an awesome short trail
