Nice deer!
Sitting in the woods sure gives time to reflect on a lot of things.
You know it, brother. And it can be such a battle of the mind, especially when you're not seeing anything for hours. Since I didn't know how I'd be able to stay on stand for any length of time last season I didn't hunt until muzzleloader. I was just so afraid of sitting there with my thoughts and ending up more depressed. Might not have hunted at all if I didn't have a hunting buddy to go with, my good friend Chris Wilson. Thankfully he bought a new crossbow this year, though, so I've had motivation and someone to go with from day one. And I'm doing much better. Thanks!

Congrats on a great day in the woods. People who think it's all about getting up at 4 am to sit in the woods and kill something have no idea what they are talking about. There is a reason why God tells us to "be still" and I honestly believe he speaks to us there.
Yes He does. My favorite mornings are the quiet, dry mornings when I can read some Scripture while waiting on the sounds of squirrels to change to the sound of deer.
