Piebald is Dead

Had a friend from church text me this picture today. The piebald that I passed on at 35 yds last week got shot last night I checked the pics I have of him, same deer.

Saw him yesterday morning in the back field as I left for work.

Congrats to this guy (I covered names out of respect for the individuals privacy) Hope he honors him appropriately. Sure is a beautiful animal.

Have had two piebalds & one solid white (brown eyes) over past twenty years, one buck & two does. None of them made it past 2-1/2 due to neighbors killing them...

It was bitter sweet. I can't blame anyone for shooting him. I've had the pleasure of seeing him for months on my property. Can't expect everyone to have a "no shoot" rule. Happy for this guy. He's a great buck and looks like he made a good shot.

I only passed on him cause he's so dang pretty and....I didn't want any bad Native American GU-GU. Read somewhere the Indian's (feather type) thought these were some sort of "spirit world" reincarnation or something.

Definitely a unique trophy congrats to the hunter!! I wouldn't have passed him either. That's a once in a lifetime deer IMO!

Its a 100" deer that is 3.5 tops. Very pretty coat, but definitely needed more time

Agree. A few of us neighbors were talking and we think he's 2.5 to 3 tops. I know one thing, he'll make your heartrate go up when ya see him up close.
