Where or how do I find this info.
Same is true in KY. I know of several incredible bucks killed near where we hunt in KY and for sure there measurements will not see a "book". One is an 8 pointer that is just over 170". Clean 8.Top deer "registered" can be found at link below, not to be confused with top 10 scoring deer ever killed in TN (many unknown to general public). I know hunters that would not register a deer's score if you held a gun to their head. Just not their cup of tea.

Yes, he held the "hunter killed" world record for a short period of time until the crazy lopsided Edgar County Illinois non-typical (327") took the spot. For awhile, didn't we have the #1 Non-Typical in the country, the buck shot over by Smyrna somewhere?
Stephen Tucker had the record for a time, killed with a Knight muzzleloader. Can't quite remember what it scored but I think it was maybe 307 or so. It was killed near Gallatin in Sumner County. For awhile, didn't we have the #1 Non-Typical in the country, the buck shot over by Smyrna somewhere?

That's right, Gallatin. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this Stephen's buck in the below picture?Stephen Tucker had the record for a time, killed with a Knight muzzleloader. That is what I remember as well. And from the research at the King Ranch, that would suggest 50% chance the buck was actually 4 1/2.Aged at 3.5 if my mind serves me right. I am not saying the age was 100% accurate, just sharing that tidbit of the story.
That's a fabulous mount. Not a good pic but here's the mount. Stephen is a very nice young fella. He actually has a flintlock that I put together. If I'm not mistaken it was a relatively young buck too.
My brother has a close friend that lives in Indiana that has a 8pt he killed there that scores 180" and was never put in any books.Same is true in KY. I know someone in my area that has a buck on his wall he killed on his own land that is over 200" nontypical and he has never had it scored. He said he doesn't care what the score is. It has 17 scoreable points and mass the size of your wrist.True....The TN Deer Registry only represents those deer that have been officially scored....but for the sake of conversation....it's a pretty impressive list:
Top 10 non-typical scores range from 207 3/8 to 315 1/8.
Top 10 typical scores range from 174 7/8 to 186 1/8.
Interesting database....while every big buck in Tennessee is clearly not registered....there is allot of interesting data to chew on....nice historical record.
