Was looking at the gobbler I shot somewhere between Arkansas and North Carolina last year (😉) and it dawned on me that I wasn't on the board then, so, hope this gets you as fired up as it does me for April to get here.

Nice turkey, but you need to think twice before "hot spotting" your public land area.
Thanks!
I understand the concern.
Can't tell you how many times I've been walked up on by other hunters. They don't just walk up on you. I had one guy set up on a bird I had worked all morning less than 50 yards from me. No way he didn't hear me. He started making the awfullest racket. Of course the birds shut up. I finally had enough and walked passed him on my way out. Tipped my hat and went to the truck. Busted the 2 gobblers about 100 yards down the fire break. Gotta love public land!!

In all sincerity I never thought there may be others that hunt where I do on here and I am not just disclosing my spot but theirs too. My apologies and thanks. I appreciate the lesson. 👍🏼
Over the years I've seen some WMA's get hammered after the publicity from people posting on this forum. I saw you were new around here and figured I'd mention it. You did good with the edit. Just remember to post the pics and story a little sooner after killing this years bird/s. 😁

All it takes is a google search of an area someone might be interested in and everything pops up and then Elmer Fudd and friends show up. I used to live fairly close but never hunted there. Great pics!

First of all, congrats on a public land bird somewhere between Arkansas and NC. Guessing it is in TN?;)

I thought I missed something about the "hot spot", but after reading some more, I think the original post had the WMA listed, and then it got edited out. Am I right?

Anyway, I hunt public land somewhere between Kentucky and Alabama. Or is it Mississippi? Or maybe Georgia? :D
