I just wish TWRA would make their website more user-friendly.
I almost just said, "forget it", while spending a half-hour trying to find the link for checking in a turkey. Big-game check-in should have a link on the very first page during turkey & deer seasons.

And no, I do not want to just use my smart phone after downloading the TWRA app, and everyone doesn't have a smart phone anyway.

Then, this morning, I cannot find the link to buy an agency lake permit to take a friend fishing.
Just use the honor envelope at the lake if you're only going to go a few times a year. Think it's $7 for a day.

Has anyone seen anything about when the computerized draw entries will be available online to even apply? The reprinted calendar has nothing related to ducks on it at all.

Smart of them to make them out of metal. I imagine several get burnt before season opener. They took all of the best blinds away and there are a lot of mad people out there.
You really think a metal blind frame will be usable if it gets burned. If it is covered in thick brush it will burn hot and probably warp the metal frame. If it happens multiple times I am sure the metal will be weak.

I would guess that if someone set one of those blinds on fire no one would have to worry about Johnny "THE TORCH" burning any more blinds. Not only would he piss every hunter off that wouldn't get to use that better than average site (snitch city) he would have the wrath of TWRA and Fed agents who would love to make an example with a arson charge that would carry way more consequences than some good ole boy's blind effort. All over a duck.... yeah I could see how that would be worth 10 years of someone's life LOL.

The biggest opportunity i see is the man getting paid to build them. I bet it someone who is good friends with a commissioner. He will make enough money off of these blinds to buy a good spot. Since they changed a few spots this year they will take over more until they have them all. I wish i was the blind builder.

LOL no offense but that made me laugh.
There is no way to stop crimes that happen in broad daylight, right in front of them (buying blinds), which they say is why the took all the best blinds away from us.... and you think they gonna find out who lit their precious blind up at 2:00 a.m. on a Tuesday?
I think not.

Disclaimer:
I, in no way, would condone or participate in the burning of any blinds.
I am too old for such tomfoolery.
The reason they can't stop the crimes I speak of is due to evidence required by the courts to prosecute and I understand that.
Same evidence will be needed to catch "The Torch".
Unless you happen to roll up on him and his buddies while they are still there. Again, it would be hard to prove they SET the fire they are roasting marshmallow and drinking Natty Light over.

Yeah good lord they can't even convict the people they blatantly watch buy blinds. "Not enough evidence" How they expect to catch someone burning a blind LOL. Have 24 hr 60day surveillance?!

I think more people would cheer on the blind burner than people getting pissed off 😂

Great deal of negativity on this thread, I understand some of it. I am just now trying to read through the new process. The old process wasn't fair in my opinion, but I wasn't completely negative and and hoping for the failure of others who try to enjoy their states opportunities.

If I am blessed to draw a hunt or two this first season of change, I'm hoping some of you don't destroy my vehicle, boat, shoot at us or burn my appointed blind because your panties are in a wad because "They took all the best blinds from US".

Real fun bunch.

If drawn, I really hope nobody messes with your stuff. I also hope you show up and hunt all days drawn and don't let places go unhunted like about 50% of people from across the state.

Yes sir, there are still those who would, if I was not able to fill that which was drawn, I'd call it in to the TWRA. Even though the drive is about 5+ or - hours drive, I'd make it.
