Reduce to 56-58 grains and you still should push either of those two bullets 2500 fps.

I've decided to go with the 195 barnes or the 200 sst with a hlb sabot.

Anxious to hear results of shooting sabot through muzzle break. Hopefully it won't be an issue, keep us posted on how things go. Good luck!

My brake is .480 so I'm thinking with the extra .03" I'll have enough room. We shall see. I do have a thread protector to remove the brake if i need to though.

I have same setup as you so I hope it works flawlessly. On a different note, how much did thread protector cost? I sent Jeff a text this morning and asked him, but no response yet. Just wondering....

I'm actually getting bestill to make me one. I thought i could go the easy route and get one off ebay for 10$ but it didn't fit as its some kind of crazy metric thread. It was 20$ though from bestill off Doug's. As far as i know it's going to be stainless also.

Here is the good part: his "official" name that you put on the check is Todd, but he goes by Jeff. I had to clarify that when I sent him funds to do my conversion. Fun times! :tu:

I have 195be, 200 sst and some 275 parker be but i think I'm going to start with 195be, hlb, 55-60gr of imr4198 and fed 209a. I really like what I've heard about the 195s on deer. Im a hunter not a target shooter.

Anyone have any idea what the best barrel break-in process would be? Or should i just put a few down the tube and season the barrel?

What's your sabotless plan? I have some 275 be but i think they blow up on short distance shots.

That was my initial plan, but after reading other's reports from the field about them fragmenting real bad, I can promise you I will not hunt with them. I may punch some paper with the 275 BE (I have sample pack of 15), but I will probably resize some 250 or 300 gr SST and try them sabotless if I go that route. At the end of the day, I want to have an accurate gun that will kill deer out to 200-250 yards, and I want two holes in my deer.
