Working on the barn today 4/12/24 and a doe with a large fawn that has almost lost its spots ran by. So if fawns usually loose their spots at about 4-5 months old, that makes the fawn born in December or January ??

Could be. Or it could have been a small doe with a fawn without many spots.

They are starting to drop fawns in area of SC. I saw lots of tiny deer tracks while hunting turkeys last week

I saw the exact same thing today. 2 fawns that weighed probably less than 30lbs. Neither had any spots but, looked like a fawn you'd see in August, just out of spots. I can't figure if they were real early or real late.
