I just walked 2 of my properties I hunt with my trail cams hoping to put them on scrapes.I found 1 small scrape that was full of leaves and hadn't been visited in some time.And that was between both places.I found old rubs from early archery season,but no fresh ones..Noramlly the weekend of juvy hunt I always scout out places for the opening of muzzy,and always have scrapes all over the place.This is very odd.Anyone else notice the same thing?
 
Cecil, must be something in the water this year. I saw a herd of does relaxed asit gets this morning, even with a grazing spike in tow. No action.
 
Wish I was able to hunt out in morgan county, finally find a good spot last season and cant hunt it because I live in nashville

You should do the christian thing and just pass that spot onto someone that can hunt it... :D

Seen any good bucks out there this year? I think im gonna call Newell after season and see if I can't get back on the lease..I kinda miss hunting it.
 
Nothing going on in northern Macon Co. Walked a lot of the 40 acres I just got access to and saw 2 scrapes and a few older looking rubs. For the almost 7 hours in the stand this morning (530'ish till 1230'ish) I saw 1 very jumpy fork buck, but he was walking high on the ridge and came from behind me, first time I've seen a deer come from where he did.
 
This time last year I had 4 or 5 scrapes cleaned out and visited regularly. I haven't found but one so far. They've cleaned it out a wee bit and broke a branch above it.
 
nothing going on here in southern middle. have seen 21 does the past two evenings. not a single buck. still getting mature buck pics of bucks together. 2 more weeks. gonna be a very late rut

Just in time for Thanksgiving break! I will actually be able to have 3 days off and hunt some!

your timing should be perfect. a lot of really get excited now when they see a few early does chased, but the peak in thsi area seems like thanksgiving and the week after
 
I had a unbelievable day at work today
Lewisburg at 11am
Watched a nice 8 pt chase 2 does after about 10 min or so his dad comes out runs the 8 pt off and chases to does off in to the woods it was crazy and about a week early from what I'm used to seeing if i had not seen it i would have not believed it myself
 
Had a fluury of activity last week of archery, bucks chassing everywhere. Slowed down now, but I did hear some chassing going on this evening. I think it's going to kick in again soon.
