Ok I'm looking at a Zeiss conquest 6.5x20x50 with target turrets,

I plan on doing some deer hunting with this gun as well as paper punching, I looked through the scope and can safely say I could shoot a deer at 20 yds if the need arises.

Do these scopes track well and have enough elevation adjustment to get me way out there?

I'm kinda in between on the 4x14x50 and the 6.5x20x50 but knowing the 6 power minimum isn't going to affect me much I'm thinking about it

I have a 6.5-20x50 with target turrets, excellent scope, tracks excellent, have shot it out to 1000 yds with the Z 800 reticle.

I have a 4.5x14x50 it worked good in the woods and it was plenty of power for longer shots . Used it in Wyoming in 2011 and 14 was plenty for longer shots .
I bought a 5x25x50 HD5 this year before we went to Wyoming and the extra power was really nice . I made my longest shot ever on a pronghorn right at 700yds . I ordered a custom turret from Kenton industries , they offered a free one as a promotion and I love it . Nothing like cranking the knob to 700 and pulling the trigger .
I don't think you can go wrong with either but 6.5 may be a little stout in the woods would be the only thing .

FYI Cameraland has the 4.5x14x50 with turrets for $499 best price I've seen , I think I gave $650 for mine .
