Any idea how last weekend went? Did the hurricane weather affect the hunt?

Take a deer cart for those cornfieldsDid your daughter have any luck on her hunt? My daughter is drawn for this weekends hunt. These cool mornings have me fired up
I think the last hunt is a fluke and appears to have been the worst one they've had in several years. Only 8 deer were killed. 7 during Saturday morning hunt, one all day Sunday. Deer weren't moving very much at all, and the ones that were moving were in the corn. The first hunt was one of the best with 21 or so killed.I believe we meet down there scouting a few years ago. Hope all is well.
Everyone should absolutely stop putting in for Yuchi. It gets worse every year.
Good luck to you guys.I'll be there with my son this weekend.

That's my biggest complaint is the corn staying up for basically the whole season. If they wanted does killed as bad as they say. They would cut a 40 yard path at least around every field or better yet….harvest it allMy so and I are here. It would have been better if the corn was cut. It's gonna be ruff.
A lot of the corn isn't more than knee high if you get into it.That's my biggest complaint is the corn staying up for basically the whole season. If they wanted does killed as bad as they say. They would cut a 40 yard path at least around every field or better yet….harvest it all
That's probably where my son and I were yesterday. Those hills aren't that high, they are STEEP!My son and I went once and hiked up one of the steepest hills I have ever climbed. I swear it was steeper than anything climbed out west or N Cherokee!
Congratulations to lucky hunters!
Congrats to the young man!View attachment 247783

Congrats on a fine looking doe .70# 1.5 year old
Congrats to the young man .He finished strong. 2 deer in 2 days. Dropped this doe with 18 minutes of legal light left. Not as big or old as the first, but I think that she's still 2.5 years old even though she doesn't look it in the picture
