My daughter is drawn for this coming weekend.

Any idea how last weekend went? Did the hurricane weather affect the hunt?

Toolbox shows 21 total harvested (7 antlered).

Any tips for this year appreciated, we are going in blind.

Hunt the hunters. Every hunt they bunch up in different places. When you determine where that is then go to escape routes around them or just get away from them

I believe we meet down there scouting a few years ago. Hope all is well.
I think the last hunt is a fluke and appears to have been the worst one they've had in several years. Only 8 deer were killed. 7 during Saturday morning hunt, one all day Sunday. Deer weren't moving very much at all, and the ones that were moving were in the corn. The first hunt was one of the best with 21 or so killed.

My so and I are here. It would have been better if the corn was cut. It's gonna be ruff.
That's my biggest complaint is the corn staying up for basically the whole season. If they wanted does killed as bad as they say. They would cut a 40 yard path at least around every field or better yet….harvest it all

A lot of the corn isn't more than knee high if you get into it.

I hope to be up there tomorrow, my boy has a band competition at Rhea county today so that completely screwed up my plans 🙄 how's the crowd look up there? Congratulations to the young man! Go get him another one 👍🏻

My son and I went once and hiked up one of the steepest hills I have ever climbed. I swear it was steeper than anything climbed out west or N Cherokee!

Congratulations to lucky hunters!

Hunted too close (400ish yards) to the road and gazebo yesterday afternoon. Saw little yearlings but nothing that he wanted to shoot. Lots of stupid people traffic.

Too foggy to see past 50yd most of the time this morning in the creek bottom that we hunted.

Back out this afternoon on a small white oak flat across from the ranger station and jumped two little ones again walking in. Hoping that we see something bigger, but he just doesn't have the coordination yet to get everything together in the thicker or steeper stuff. This place seems too obvious and accessible, but I've said that before and my daughter killed her biggest buck ever

That's probably where my son and I were yesterday. Those hills aren't that high, they are STEEP! 😃
