Yuchi WMA Advice

My little boy drew the first hunt at Yuchi in late September.

Any advice from those that have hunted it would be appreciated!

He is very excited.

Dont climb the giant hill on left .....that was a doozy! I have bad knees and it was no fun coming down on the juvi.

I would find a trail and hunt on right towards crops and river or go back deep on the trail near the checking station to the back area.

Currently no crops , but looks like they just drilled in something in the standing weeds in some spots, maybe soybeans.

Don't overthink it too much. First hunt, they haven't been pressured yet. You're hunting the hunters. Plenty of food everywhere, but acorns will likely be dropping. You don't need to get particularly deep. There will be be a lot of vegetation to contend with.
