Yuchi Refuge???

My daughter was drawn for the late youth hunt at Yuchi. Drove down for the first time this weekend. Really unsure of where to begin scouting, do all gates remain locked till the hunt?? Or is there a scouting day, if so any help on where to start looking ?

She wants to beat last year.... Not sure it will happen!!

You can walk all over any time. The gate to the road that goes behind the old church is only open on the morning of hunts. Good luck

Also, that is the only road that is open at any time other than for TWRA business or agriculture. I hunted it last year and out thought myself by getting away from the ridges, but I put my dad on a decent 7 point, and ended up killing a button at closing light of the last day myself. I may not be a guide or expert, but I live close to Yuchi and realy love the land. PM me if you have any ? and I will try to answer them.
