The quickest kills I've ever seen was the 125gr Remington managed recoil .308 loads. I saw a few bucks shot through the shoulder hit the ground and the legs didn't even kick. The recoil was pretty much nonexistent. I'll bet those 130gr loads will do the same thing.

If she goes, my youngest daughter will use her mothers 243 with my 100 grain interlock handloads. If she doesn't go, I will take my 11 year old son, he is autistic and is not quite ready to shoot a deer. I have a 6 arc i built for him when he is ready. Running handloaded 103 grain eldx in that gun.

Yep these are a handload recipe that run about 3000 fps. Kills deer like lightning.

My son will be shooting the same 30-30 marlin rifle that I killed my first buck with back in 1987. Loaded up with some green box Remington Core-lok 150 gr.
My oldest son killed his first buck with the same rifle. Hoping to see something with horns in the morning!

My 6 year old son will have the Encore in .25-06 with 117 grain Hornady Superformance. It's been a proven combination in the past. I hope it works some magic this weekend!
