I have always thought youth hints ended at 15. My oldest just turned 16 in January. Am I reading it right he can hunt the young sportsman hunt at 16?

Yes. If he turns 17 on March 27 he could still hunt on March 26.

It depends on which Young Sportsman hunt you are inquiring about.

The Young Sportsman deer and turkey hunts go through the age of 16.

The youth waterfowl hunt ends when they turn 16.

If he does not have a Lifetime License, he will have to get the adult licenses at at 16. If the youth turns 16 after purchasing the youth license, it will be honored until the end of the license year.
