I know I may be jumping the gun a little bit (pun intended) as my daughter was only 10 months old on Christmas day, but I have been looking at candidates for her first 22 rifle. To the best of my searching, all the bolt action youth 22's except for the CZ 452 Scouts are single shot which is not such a bad thing, but I was thinking about getting something like a clip-fed 22 that would carry her through the learning gun safety and how to shoot stage to plinking and squirrel hunting. I have a LH CZ 452 American that is an excellent rifle, so I was leaning toward getting her the Scout until I saw that Henry makes a youth model of their lever action 22. It looks like a pretty well made rifle with a real walnut stock and is pretty reasonably priced, but I have never seen or held one of the Henry 22's. Does anyone have some feedback on the Henry lever action 22's (even better with the youth model)? I guess another benefit to the Henry is that I don't know if she will be right or left handed yet, although being a left-hander I managed to survive just fine with right hand actions for many years.
