With anything, it really just depends on your situation. What's the best advice you have or have been given? To get things going, here are some of the things we often hear. Sometimes they contradict one another.
• hunt saddles, hunt edges, hunt funnels, hunt a third of the way down a slope
• hunt downwind
• hunt the thickest stuff you can find
• if you can't hunt all day during the rut, hunt 10:00-2:00
• on public land, go far from the road
• on public land, hunt close to the road, the over looked places
• on public land, hunt the hunters
• hunt the does
• hunt the food sources
• hunt fresh scrapes
• don't hunt deer sign, it was probably done at night
