Felows,

Anyone willing to fill another fellow in on the subject?

I intend to get me one for a proper hat,(None of that silly coon skin hat stuff for me, no sir!)and I thought you all might have some good skinny on the particulars.

I'm a close range sort of fellow, on account of my eyes, but I can hold offhand to an inch at 50 meters. My varmint gun is a Ruger 77/22 in 22 KHornet, and the second will be a flintlock Tennesse Mountain rifle in 32 cal. I guarantee it will be a tack driver because I am building it myself. I am also a rank amateur at calling.

I should have looked up the season, but if you all could fill me in on that too, I would be much obliged. I need to start building up my Tennessee library with those kind of details while I am at it!

Best regards,

Rasch let me know how it goes? I have a pelt off one I shot last deer season in my freezer. I was thinking of making a hat myself just haven't taken the next step.
