Me either. I was guessing 120 ish, just based on other threads here.

I think both folks are spot on. Tough to tally inches with only 6 tine measurements. Very rare will an 8 point make it over 135.

He's a great buck. Love that big cagey frame. I doubt he'll hit 120" but that wouldn't matter to me. I've killed several big 8's that didn't hit 120" and am proud as a peacock of them. 8 pointers are just tough to squeeze inches out of. You've only got 6 tines to measure like Bone Chaser pointed out, plus the fourth girth measurements are always very thin. Those two things really hinder score even if the buck's rack is visibly as big & impressive as a 10pt. Your buck is a prime example of a great rack that just won't produce the inches one would think it should. But put him on a wall next to a 130" 10pt and he'll fit right in.

I have a comparable one and it scores 123. Around that number is my guess. I wouldn't worry about the score, kill him if you get a chance, good luck!!
