This little rifle is so easy to handload for! I was getting 3 to 5 inch 100 yard groups with factory ammo. This morning I finally got to try some handloads. I loaded 6 shells each of 4 different amounts of IMR 4350 powder and Hornady 140 grain flat based soft points. The only difference was the powder charge.
Because my hunting scope is a 2-7X33, I shot all rounds in 3 shot groups at 50 yards, to eliminate/minimize sighting errors.
The WORST group is the last one I shot, at 1.25". The best I can't even measure, but I think it's less than 1/4" easy. (All squares in the attached pics are 1".)
Unfortunately, I adjusted the scope between groups, so you can't super-impose the groups to get a true 6-shot measurement. If I hadn't I think the 41.0 gr load would have put 5 shots into one hole.
