Anyone have updated info for the opening of this new range?

Would be helpful asap for rifle season.

The guy who has the early morning talk show on 99.7 Doug Martin is going to run this range?
I did hear him say on the Radio a week or 2 ago, that this range is only designed to sight in guns, and not spend the day shooting all you have. That is exactally how he said it.

Fine with me, if it is.
My only other option in the Maury Co gun club, that is $10,and can get full up before rifle season opens.

Yanali will work out better for me,and hopefully it's less than $ 10.

I have not heard of it but if it is a TWRA range, it should cost $5.50 for 2 hours. Also, if it is a TWRA range and its going to be managed like the stones river rifle range, the access will be limited to friday thru sunday.

The stones river rifle range had the same issues with the neighbors.

The press gave the anti-gun folks some ink,but it passed.
5.50 is not bad,and a time limit is fine with me.
Some of the shooters at Maury Co Gun Club camp out for the afternoon. Nice people, but once a bench is taken, it's theirs for as long as they want to stay.

Thats the way it is on the unmanaged twra ranges. You will have people finished shooting that will just sit there at their bench and watch everyone else shoot. If I want to shoot at the cheatham wma range, I have to take time off from work to go down there during the week so I can be guaranteed a bench rather than go on a weekend and wait around for someone to give up their bench. Its like some kind of social event.

I am going to stop in on Friday afternoon to see when it might be open. I drive past it every weekday driving from Columbia to Lewisburg. I would like to shoot a little more often.
