OK, let's beat this horse a little more .....
Although Yanahli seems quite large acreage wise, it's so spread out that there doesn't appear to be that 1 mile to 1.5 mile hike away from a road or parking area and most of the other hunters. I'm focused on the Cheek Bend area. (1) Cheek Bend proper looks interesting with a mix of fields and timber, but also there look to be a lot of trails so I think that will be very crowded. (2) Across the river to the east is also interesting with Cedar Creek and a couple bean fields, but I think those bean fields get hit hard (right on Sowell Mill Pike) and that area might also be relatively easy to access (unless it gets real think back in there). It's also bordering on some private land and I don't want to risk going off the WMA. (3) Across the river from Cheek Bend to the west looks like the best bet, as it runs into I-65 and I might have a better chance at being able to hike far in and away from other hunters.
Not looking to find out where anyone else is going to hunt, but is anyone willing to share any hints or directions? Thanks.
