Yamaha Four Wheeler Maintenance

Bought the 97 Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4 I was asking about in another post now I want to service it. Bought a new air filter, spark plug, oil and oil filter. Is there anything else I should do to it? Brakes seem to work fine and tires are good even though I am thinking about changing to a more aggresive tread pattern.

First thing I gotta do is figure out where the oil filter and oil drain plug is located :grin:

i would change the rear/front end grease.

Check for grease points on the front steering linkage and rear suspension as well. I cant remember if your is sealed or not.

Oil drain plug is on the bottom. The filter is internal. Look on the motor next to the gear shifter...should be 3 bolts, they hold the filter cover on; remove those bolts, pull the filter and replace the gaskets.
