Checked my trail cams and found this double beam buck. In fact i was in a stand 65 yards away at same time this pick Was taken and never seen him.

Very unique buck that is no doubt mature, best of luck with him this fall.

I wonder how many times this has happened to any one of us? It would probably hurt my feelings to know, but it would be cool info to know and learn from.

It happens. Just curious, what made the difference for where the camera was set and where you were hunting? Were you hunting a better looking area than where the camera was?

Up in the tree... thinking we can see and hear EVERYTHING within 100 yards.

Andy, knowing how many times we were so close to a great buck and were just looking the wrong way would be pure torture.

I'm positive it's happened to just about everyone here. Sat morning I was listening to a squirrel chattering like crazy for about 10 min. I kept looking into the draw, expecting to see something down in there. Then, as I was looking that direction, and only about 15 yds from my stand behind a large whiteoak tree, out pops the head of a doe! I don't know how in the world she got that close wo me seeing her! She had to have walked the line of sight straight behind that whiteoak for the longest time before getting right at my stand.

I'm amazed at how often I've been watching a huge corn or bean field that has been harvested so that there is nothing taller than 3 inches in the entire field and suddenly a deer appears out in the middle that has started crossing the field. I practically never see them cross the entire field - they've always made it to the center before I spot them no matter how hard I try to constantly sweep my eyes side to side across the field.
