That sucks. Good to see them hitting the licking branches. Are you seeing a lot of this activity? Either this weekend or next weekend, I plan on moving most all of our cameras to scrapes/mock scrapes. Put some cams over them this past weekend.

Interesting thing is, I only moved that one camera to a traditional scrape because none of the scrapes have been opened. Yet it turns out bucks are working the limbs but not yet scraping. If I had known that, I would have moved a bunch more. After seeing that video, I did move one camera to another traditional scrape. No open scrape, but bucks may be using the limb. Next time I go out to check cameras, I'll move a bunch to traditional scrapes, whether they're open or not.
 
I couldn't help but put several cameras over our new food plots. Specifically where the deer were likely to enter due to the 10 foot piles of stumps, roots and tops. I plan to keep those cameras there and adding t-posts with a sapling strapped to it that has a good licking limb. Not only will we see what bucks are using that area, but we'll have a better understanding where deer are coming from and into the plots, and also the times they come. Can't wait!

Beautiful deer! At the end his neck beginning to muscle up is easy to see. Just curious, but at what approximate time in middle TN are the bucks at their physical prime? Full muscle mass without being run down from the rut.

Believe I've shared the story of this buck before.....but the scenario of a broke beam buck getting a free pass does happen....we had pics of this buck in 2013, 2014 & 2015 .....in 2014 I saw him twice...once with muzzleloader then again with rifle....with main beam broke let him walk both times....then in 2015 he showed back up and I was fortunate to take him with a muzzleloader.....but....the broke beam without a doubt allowed him to grow another year.

That's awesome! I passed a deer in 2017 that had his longest tine broke off (G2).
