It is amazing to me how I can be sitting 15 ft from a guy who is wearing out the Bass& I couldn't catch a thing, I'm using the same bait, fishing the same spots & my partner was bustin em today. We (really my partner since I was pretty much useless today, although I did make a good net man) finished 2nd with 17.30 lbs (4 fish). 19.05 was 1st & 16.55 was 3rd. Due to a little screw-up by me & my partner, we probably cost ourselves 1st place. We had 3 fish that when we caught them were right at 15 inches (size limit), we started culling & took the heaviest 1 & turned the other 2 loose. When we were weighing in 1 of them was 1/4 inch short, so therefore we only weighed in 4 fish. My partner had a great day with a 7.30 & a 5.75 largemouth. I wasn't much help but I sure did enjoy seeing him have a great day. Here is a pic of us & my partner holding his 2 big fish. He won big fish award too!
