A friend of mine has photos of a nice buck wearing an orange collar. He has a couple of photos of it over the years, with the collar getting tighter and tighter each year. Well, his daughter took the 8 point this year. It was still wearing the collar, which by now was more like a tourniquet that had cut into the deer's neck. The deers neck was circled with infection and puss. Word to the wise - deer are not pets and placing collars on young deer only leads to a slow death when those same deer leave home and never come back...
