Wondering why

Why can't you use a pistol during muzzleloader season? As long as you're not using bottle neck cartridges, I see no advantage except not having to spend $$ on a muzzleloader. Actually might be less of an advantage with less yardage.

TN has had a long tradition of keeping the muzzleloader season strictly for muzzleloaders without any additional firearms. Personally, I hope it continues.

Centerfire pistols are legal during the G/M/A season.
