Noticed on the proclamations proposed that Wolf River WMA will be broken up into two units Unit 1 south of 57 and unit 2 North of 57. Anyone heard anything about some new land being added or I wonder if some of the public land around (Area just north of Moscow) will be added to the WMA.
 
Have you spoke with Brandon? I tried leaving him a vm this morning. I would be very curious about what additional lands they would add to it.

Let us know if you hear from Brandon. I was looking around and saw on the Topo map selections for public land it list The Briggs tract (Hays Rd) as part of Wolf river WMA. I bet that's what they are talking about as being north of 57 but maybe you will find out there is more land. :pray:
 
All the TWRA land along the Wolf River from the Fayette/Hardeman county line over to the Shelby County line/I-385 will be considered Wolf River WMA. The original part of the WMA (south of 57) will be managed under one set of regulations. The remainder (north of 57) which were the small tracts but are becoming connected and a significant additional acreage with be unit 2 and under a less restrictive set of regulations.
 
Looks like Wolf River is going to be a non quota hunt for Turkeys with limited weeks and a 1 bird limit. That's great but going to be a lot of hunters out there.

The bad. But then again, it is to be expected with the limited public land opportunities for SW TN turkey hunters. I expect that I'll be one of many hunting out there during the few weeks it is open.
