I'm talking about the new 5000-acre section not the wma south of hwy. 57. Is the new section open for turkey hunting with the statewide season and regulations?

20+ trucks parked on it this morning at 4AM. Every gate, every pull in and every corner. One guy had an enclosed trailer at the main gate; suspect he camped last night.

Yeah, I drove out there Saturday after lunch to look around. I saw the truck with the trailer and thought the same thing. Maybe I'll go mid-week and it won't be as crowded.

It's supposed to be a Quota Hunt but with the number of vehicles that we have seen I doubt every knows that.

Gotcha, the plans before it was officially opened was for it to be a draw like Chickasaw and Natchez Trace so I just assumed that is what happened, I didn't realize they changed it.
