Just 1 opinion and there are many others that ban weigh in...moultrie m 880 or the 900 series. I have 8 of one and 2 of the other. Not a days trouble form either.

I have 5 of the primos truth 35 cams. I have had 3 of them for 4 or 5 yrs now with no problems, battery life is great and pics are great. The 2 cams you mentioned are fine camera's as well, just cost a lil more, but if that's what he has mentioned I would probably get one of those for him. Good luck

I run trail-cameras for a living. Of the two cameras, a DLC Covert or a Moultrie, I would get the DLC Covert (although Moultrie isn't bad, I just trust DLC more). And of the DLC Covert cameras, I would suggest the MP6 Black. "Black" or "black-flash" cameras are definitely the way to go. Deer cannot see the flash of the "black" cameras, but they CAN see, and will avoid, cameras listed as "IR" (infra-red).

I just received the Covert MP6 Black that I ordered from Wing Supply for a great price. I cannot believe how small this camera is. It's quite a bit smaller than the Covert Code Black and Black 60. It does have less features than the larger Covert cameras, which I'm sure helped them to make it so small. Unfortunately Wing Supply sold out of them. They were selling them for $120 shipped. I would love to have a bunch of them. They are so small they will be very easy to hide from an elevated position on a tree.

I have a Covert MP6 Black and a Extreme Black 60, both awesome cameras. I would say the MP6 Black, a few less features than the Extreme, but they are features that you will probably never use. They also have the best battery life of any camera I have tried.

darn2ten,

Do you notice the difference in advertised flash distance at night between the MP6 Black and the Extreme Black? The Extreme Black is supposed to have 60 LEDs while the MP6 Black only has 40. This increase in LEDs is supposed to increase flash distance from 45 to 60 feet.

Where to buy?

Where can I buy a new covert camera? Anyone knows who sells them between Knoxville and Chattanooga?
