Witch doctor pup got treed

Got a walker pup out of witch doctor and after a lot of miles and a lot of hours he finally got hooked hard. He was treed for almost 30 minutes before I got to him. This wasn't his first coon he trees but it was the first he stayed on for more than 5 minutes.

Don't laugh to much at my fall in the first video :cool;

I haven't had him out for most of deer season. I took him out about a month and a half ago and he trees at 1.1 miles out. As I was walking to him someone started shooting and I'm guessing was close to him cause he pulled off and came back to me.
We loaded up and headed down the road ran in to 2 more coon hunters and asked if I had a blanket back male walker and I said yeah.
Apparently when he was runnin that track down he ran right past those 2 guys and their dogs and sat down and treed a couple hundred yards from them. They said they walked by him and he had a coon in the tree.
I just never made it there to see with me own eyes.

I will be taking him out tomorrow night

I use to hunt the camp grounds of bsf during the winter, you ever get up this way I will put you in contact with some of the old timmer up here for a hunt.

I don't believe they were. Could have been but if it was they don't deserve to have a gun. There was at least 30 rounds fired off haha

He is getting closer. I want him a little better before then.

I put him in a buddy hunt the 3rd time I ever took him out and he placed 2nd in the hunt. Also finished 2nd on the show bench.
Another few months of hard hunting and he will be competition ready and I can't wait

No videos this time, I bit the bullet and put my pup on his first ever ukc events.
He took home Best of show male in the bench show.
Won the treeing contest 2 days in a row. 72 barks in 30 seconds on Friday and 62 barks in 30 seconds on Saturday.
Also done a roll cage event where the dog is timed on how fast he can get a coon on a roll cage out of a 20 foot circle he won it as well in 4 seconds flat.
And on the night hunts he showed us the only coon in our casts 2 night in a row. He actually caught both coons on the ground and fought them. His face is a little beat up but he loved it.
I believe he is gonna make one heck of a hound!
