I sowed a few Winter Wheat plots over a week ago. I know it was probably early, but with my schedule it was then or never. Seemed like last year when I planted it that it was growing so fast that I swear some of it sprouted as soon as it touched the ground. This year it hasn't really even sprouted. Should I be worried, or should it take off in september.

I know most had a drought last year but mine was up and highly visible within a week of planting. Planning on planting Monday depending on the hurricane and when/if it makes it here. Depending on your moisture content to start with along with current conditions may be part of your issue. My old boss had wheat on the ground 3 weeks a few years ago before it got rain and came up

This was planted a week ago. The wheat is mostly what you are seeing
