I am not the best at finding arrowheads but I have managed to spot a few this month. I have no clue what type or what the names of them are but I love finding them. These were found on 2 different days. My favorites are always the small triangle ones like on the bottom. The field beside where I used to live has a healthy concentration of them.

Nice! Those small ones are true arrowheads, the others are most likely atlatl points from the archaic/woodland time period.
We were thinking the one site is much older than the other. The place with the bigger darts/points has zero pottery. The other place has quite a bit of pottery but mostly triangle points. We know the bow/arrows and pottery came from later time periods. The smaller ones are more plentiful but they are harder to spot. I seem to have an eye for them but look past the bigger ones. I found 5 the other day in one trip. My buddy found only 1 point and it was a wide white quartz one about 3 inches long. Within a foot of my boot print.

If it were up to universities and archeologists, all collecting would be illegal, even on private land. I don't want anything to do with them. Yes, these are from 2 places privately owned. The place with the triangles is the field beside where I used to live. I can only walk it between when deer season closes and turkey season opens. Just a short window of opportunity.

Yes, the black one is a LeCroy. There's been several found at that particular place. It's the site I think is older.

That's awesome! What county are you finding them in?

Is it a plowed field, or creek bank?

McMinn. It's kinda both. It's a field by a big creek but they haven't plowed it in prob 20 years now. It gets the no till treatment but along the tractor trails and wash outs, I have a few hot spots I've always found chippings and points in. I would be in hog heaven if they ever plow it again but that's probably unlikely. You guys here opened the creek hunting door for me as I had never looked there before. I've found several on gravel bars in the creek itself. Also found a few sifting the gravel bars as well. My father Inlaw hunted this same field back in the 70s-90s when they plowed it every year and it's unreal the stuff he has from it. My current property where I live is almost identical terrain, complete with the same creek that goes by the other place where the relics are but the creek here is all sand and no gravel. There are a lot of springs on my place but I have only found 3 points here and little to no flint or chert but lots of limestone. The other farm is loaded with chert and flint.
