Food Plots Winter Rye

I know the lack of rain is going to be a big factor but is it too late to try to throw out some winter rye?

I'd say it's too late for it to amount to anything this fall. If it gets down enough root to overwinter it will do ok in the spring, maybe. Cool, short days and parched soil are not what you want for getting plots out of the ground.
