I don't really fish for either but I heard two guys talking today. One guy said they were wearing the crappie out in the swallows and the stripers on the rocks. I didn't think to just ask them questions right then. I going to try striper fishing here in a week or so. Is he talking about the large broke rock banks they make along the rivers and lakes or is that just rocky ledge type stuff?

lol, I guess what I really need to know is, as a noob striper fisherman, how and where should I start. I will be probably be fishing on lake Barkly out of Bumpus mills.
Thanks

I think I watched that swallow eating-fish video too many times. lol, dang it, Shallows. My fingers just type what they want to all the time, I swear.

The crappie we've been catching the past few weeks have been deep. 20-30ft. on creek channel points and ledges.

Ive been Catching Crappie on Creek Ledges in 20 feet of water right at the bottom of the drop.On warm sunny days they seem to pull up to 10 feet or so to sun.Hadnt tried the stripers but know they catch them this time every year in the Steam Plants discharge at say New Jville or Cumberland City.

Thanks guys! Yes, I know about the C City steam plant discharge area, I have cat fished that area many time just not winter time and stripers. I appreciate the info.
