Still won't be legal in Tn, they are going to make folks spend $$ to play with straight wall.

This would block off the bottom of the action so no way possible to use a magazine without taking action out of the stock and taking it out. Not trying to argue at all I am really curious and trying to figure out what is legal and what is not because they are never clear on any of the rules or laws

Supposedly has to have a hammer also, they are stacking the deck to sell some rifles. have a AR upper in 350L but bought it before they decided to allow them, didn't buy it for muzzle loader season, at some point it will be any weapon and the herd wont disappear because of it.

I listened to the commissioners' meeting on the internet when this issue was voted on. The original proposal was to allow straight-walled hunting during the second week of muzzleloading, but before they voted, an amendment was proposed which stated the gun had to be a single-shot, break-down gun. The amendment was passed, and then they voted on the entire proposal, and it passed. That is why you cannot use a bolt-action gun with a block to make it single-shot. Now, the reasoning for that was that the game wardens would have a hard time determining if the guns were legal. I think if the game wardens couldn't tell the difference, then he probably should be a game warden anyway. I think the real reason is that someone was pushing the commissioners to do this because of the actural sale of single shot rifles their only a very few manufacturies of these guns probally lot of lobbing money being spent to sale more guns that being said I own a bolt action 350 legend rifle instead of me purchasing a 30.00 block for my gun i have to purchase a 500.00 break down gun to be legal to hunt for one week. Everyone should call your commissioners and let them know that they are supposed to be helping out the hunters instead of lobbyists for gun sales

**** Single shot rifles using straight-walled cartridge ammunition that, as manufactured, are not capable of containing multiple rounds, .35 caliber or larger, are legal to be used on private lands only Nov. 14 - Nov. 20, 2026. Harvested deer count toward the muzzleloader season bag limit.
This is straight off the app. Says nothing about break action or hammer, only says can not accept multiple rounds so the block would do that in my eyes

I am just telling you what was done and said at the meeting. I guess we will have to wait and see what the actual guide will say. That statement said not capable of containing multiple rounds, but bolt action is manufactured to be capable of more than one round

Key words are , not capable.
Yes I agree but if you epoxy the block in the it is not capable anymore. We will just have to wait and see what they say. If they don't specify it has to be a break action then there is plenty of workarounds
