Im looking at getting my dad one for Christmas. He mainly just dove hunts and turkey hunts. Im a benelli and browning guy. I shot a sx2 many years ago and was impressed. Just haven't been around the sx4. For the price seems pretty reasonable.

Great guns IMO for the price. They are bulky and heavy TO ME but Im also a benelli guy so that would make sense.

Never heard any negatives on them from people I know that own them

I, like an idiot, sold my Browning Gold because I just quit duck hunting because of my health. But a few years later, and wanting to dove hunt, put me on the search for a new scattergun. I ended up choosing the SX4 because it is basically the Browning Gold. If you're a Browning guy, you'll love it.

I turkey hunted with an SX3 for several years before switching to a 20ga. Still have it and really like it.
I've been eyeing the sx4s in 20. They do in fact look like a copy of the older browning golds. I have one when they first came out , so did my dad . We both had issues out i
Of ours on dove hunts. They'd turn into single shots after a good hunt or 2. He figured out you have to pop them little rings off on that gas cylinder with the holes in it. The grooves would get full of carbon . Seem s like There was a ring on the inside of that cylinder too. Im curious how the winchesters hold up

You guys may have already noticed the same…. Seen the sx4's in Walmart the other day. I can't recall the price but may be worth checking to see if it's a better deal
