I haven't found any silvertips at academy found two boxes at sportsman's warehouse

I had been shooting those for years (30/06). Finally shot my last one at the end of last season because I couldn't find any. Switched to something new this year. Verdict is still out.

think they discontinued those, with the lubalox coating, i got a few in 270 and 243, Winchester had a $7/ box rebate that went on until November 30th for those.... was gonna buy some but didn't make sense as I have a bunch of nosler bullets, and that's what they are anyways

Try Roger's sporting goods. They had all the calibers before season. I ordered 6 boxes of 30-06 and I know a buddy got some .270.

They are the same shell/bullet, just without the coating on the bullet…

I tried to order some ammo from them a week ago and they wanted 80 bucks to ship it, got same thing from buds for 4 more bucks and free shipping. Every time i try to order from fastammo they want a war pention for shipping

(I only shoot 1or 2 a year )

Here are a few I'm going to try:
163gr Winchester ballistic Silvertips Left column
150 gr Hornady Superperformance SST
168 gr Federal Berger Hybrid (I picked up 6 boxes of these from someone on tndeer. So hopefully these will work out. Haven't made it to the range with them yet)

I still have a box and 1/2 . Probably last me until I'm through hunting . But if I was to find some I'd probably buy a box or three if they weren't too expensive.

I've always shot the BSTs in my 300 WSMs and they are pure death.
The only problem I remember being an issue with the Lubalox coating was that some people would shoot them when the barrel got hot and it would really get fouled. I always shot them after letting the barrel cool..
