Found a used .270 on gunbroker for $650. Is that a good deal? I used to have one in .300WSM and am looking for a stainless .270 but don't remember what I gave for it new. A new Ruger Hawkeye can be had from Buds for $627.

That's a good price...especially since its stainless.
I guess I did alright then. Nobody else bid on it and the auction ended last night so it's coming my way. Going to send a money order out tomorrow and it will be shipped upon arrival. Now I'll have to find a good bullet (I don't reload) and decide what glass to put on it.camoman270 said:

I picked it up yesterday and it came with the bases & rings. Looks basically brand new and the barrel is extremely clean. Now to figure out what glass to put on it. Thinking about the Zeiss Conquest 3x9x40 so give me some opinions on it and others.

I just got one of the model 70 extreme weather SS with fluted barrel .270 with hogue stock for 993.00 total
I looked at one of those and found one on gunsofamerica if I remember correctly for just under $900. It was sweet for sure. I see you're in Mt. Juliet. Where about? I'm in MJ too but on the Rutherford county side by about 100 yards.Lawrence said:
