I just discovered that the .22 I have is pretty old. I always thought it was just a cheap plinker. The serial number is 129*** which places it at 1955 and 1 of 1100 made. Its not in good shape though as the blueing is pretty much gone. Like I said I thought of it as a plinker and not an heirloom. Anyone have an idea what this thing may be worth? Its the 23" barrel and not grooved for scope. Would it be worth it to have it re blued?
 
oil it down real good and leave as is,,,never alter finish on an old gun,,if you have any original finish left is worth way more than no original finish after refinishing it,,

I get Win models mixed up,,63 a tube fed pump action,single shot bolt??

Before I had to leave the site the price I saw for a 1950 model was 850.00

I got hit the instant I did the search with a very real looking firefox update. I have reported this, give Google a few hours to whack them into eternity.
 
If the gun is an investment leave as-is but if it is a sentimental gun and you want to refurbish it go ahead. Refurbishing will cost you something but you will have a gun you can carry with pride which is worth a lot more than the couple hundred bucks in potential lost investment value.

No its a semi auto that is loaded thru the back of the stock.
