What are your thoughts on this gun? I have no experience with the Mod. 70.... I have mostly Remingtons... Have a guy wanting to do a possible trade for my 11-87sm.

The 22-250 would make a good varmint gun.... and I've not owned a 22-250 yet.

Well I guess I will come out ahead either way.... I'm trying to do a 3-way trade..... Guy A has a Rem 700 LTR in .223 that has a threaded barrel and all metal is cerakoted OD green... Guy B has the Mod. 70 in 22-250 and was interested in my 11-87sm. Guy A is looking for a 22-250, but really wants a Savage.

I was looking at doing a circle trade, Guy A gets the 22-250, Guy B gets my shotgun, and I get the Rem. 700 LTR from Guy A.

But worst case I guess I either trade and wind up with a Win. Mod. 70 in 22-250, or don't trade and keep the 11-87sm for a predator shotgun.

Depends on the year of the Model 70. I've seen some that were made in the mid 90's that weren't of the same quality the older and newer ones are. Something to do with where they were manufactured.

Might want to research which years they had problems with.

The fellow that has it, says he bought it 11-12 years ago.... has had maybe 200rnds through it total.... been a safe queen. I've seen pics, looks brand new..... wood stock and all.
