I have been hunting Davidson and wilson counties hard for the past 2 weeks regularly. Havent seen any daylight buck movement since earlier in the week on either of the properties. Have we reached peak breeding or "lock down". Anyone else notice the decline?

Been a slow couple weeks for me in Sumner Co. Got to watch a mature buck locked down with a doe yesterday. Bet they didn't move out of a 5 acre area the whole day.

Last week was pretty good in my area of sumner county , lots of deer moving. Killed two bucks in two days. My buddy killed a stud Yesterday in westmoreland.

Things were on fire this morning in Montgomery. I had 2 hot does and 3 shooters hot on the trails.

Had 7 doe in front of me yesterday in Mt Juliet area not a buck in sight. Had bucks crusing this morning but hadn't seen any chasing.

Not to thread back but I'm assuming all the Wilson county hunting is on private land? I'm in Lebanon and would love to find a lease close to home.

I dont know of any leases, but ask around. There are folks that will let you hunt their land and ample public lands close to Lebanon such as old hickory, priest, centerhill, and all around the river.

Was hunting MJ this morning myself. Group of 7 does all bunched came walking in. Last chase i saw was last week.

I hunt the same area essentially. Our best rut activity is almost always right around Thanksgiving. I have seen some chasing but just little ones.
