What are y'all seeing? What phase do y'all think we are in? Didn't see anything Wednesday, Thursday or Friday and sat today for 8 hours and saw nothing. Not sure if I missed rut or what.

I went to Priest WMA yesterday, saw 1 doe. Thinkin of going in the morning even tho supposed to be windy and in the 50's. I'm new to hunting and any advise is very welcome.

I'm in Watertown and I am seeing young bucks cruising. Fawns were with does until Thursday on my place but now they are alone. Scrapes are not fresh. I don't know if it's come and gone or if it's just starting. I did see a big 8 dogging a doe 3 weeks ago. This time last year it was at its peak.

Primary rut is over in Wilson County and probably anywhere from middle Tn to the west. Try again in the middle of Dec.

My place that's right on the Wilson/cannon line has been very slow. We have yet to see a buck. We found rubs and scrapes everywhere the past 2 weeks now the buck sign is sparse, as of today. We've seen does each hunt but no chasing all throughout Nov. We don't know what the deal is.

I had no idea Wilson joined Cannon County. In fact, I have no idea where Cannon County is.

As to your request. I may be able to help but it would be kinda unhandy. You would have to come the night before and motel it and you would not be able to accompany your son. I would have to take him. Tentatively, I am up for that and he probably would get a shot if he can sit still. I do not have nay ground blinds but would build a couple natural ones.

Saw a spike chase and mount a doe last Monday between Lebanon and Watertown. Other than that, I haven't seen any action all year at my spot. A few rubs, but no scrapes.

Bowriter not sure if you meant to post in this thread or not.

Any updates? Any thoughts on when the second rut will hit? I plan to be out there as much as possible no matter what.

2nd rut mid Dec in Wilson co.

That's what I figured. Last year took a buck Nov 24 then another and a doe Dec 31. Probably will hit the stand I've been in that I thought would produce again this weekend and then lay off of it for a while.

I hunt private land. Any thoughts on putting corn out on my last day at it laying off the area for a couple of weeks?

You realize that it is illegal to bait, even in Wilson Co?

Wasn't going to hunt over the bait. TWRA states that a baited area is a 250 yard radius from the bait and that the bait must be gone 10 days prior to hunting the area. It may have sounded like I was going to hunt over it but I was saying before I left putting some out and not returning for a couple of weeks. And if I wanted to hunt even while the bait is out I have plenty of land that is outside the 250 yard radius.
