Franklin rut is done. Seen it happen all on places i couldnt hunt, kind of disappointing but at least i saw with my eyes the 9 pt i was after. Today, I saw does in fields around 8 am from Mack hatcher and Franklin road. Not many jut a few. This afternoon from 3.20 to 4.30 pm I bow hunted near the house about 4 yards from a heavy muddy deer trail and no deer to be seen. They were pouring through this area in late afternoon a while ago right before the rut got good. Now post rut their movement is a bit different, maybe the approaching full moon has em more nocturnal, not sure just a guess.
