I work for the county regularly. Almost positive I watched this deer with cheap binos a couple weeks ago at Harlinsdale Farms park area. I was distracted the rest of the day. Got to be him or his twin. Congrats!

Your buck is still walking because this deer had a relatively small core area and it was miles from there. That being said depending on if it shrinks during the drying period, it should be the new state record in the archery category. Taxidermist scored it at just above 193" gross so depending on the deductions it should take either typical (177") or non typical (191").
 
Great. Wished I could hunt that area but they would throw you under the jail. It's park area , school, and million dollar homes. Unless he's hit by a car or poached he will die of old age.
 
Wow what a deer! Congratulations to the hunter! I wonder when TN will be classified as a trophy state? I dread that moment!

i thought the same thing at first but if you look at the abnormal point off the base of right beam, I think I that pretty well clears it up since it's in both trail cam pics and the dead pic

I heard this one was in liepers fork. Whatever deer you saw at Harlinsdale probably came from the city land behind it...you wouldn't believe the amount of deer or the size of the rubs back there, I've seen pics of some of the deer photographed from there. Nobody is allowed to hunt it, but I've found evidence that people sneak in there.

Back before they built the walking trails through the woods in Harlinsdale, I would see 30+ does in the winter evenings on that grassy hillside behind the silo.
