Will Logging Pressure Deer??

With the season fast approaching I have some guys out here removing a lot of the pulp wood left by the loggers who came and logged the first of the year.. They plan on being here for a few weeks.. How do you think this will impact my deer hunting. I don't bow hunt but mainly muzzleload and rifle..
 
Shouldn't be a problem as long as they aren't working near your stand while you're trying to hunt.
 
Sometimes you can even pattern the deer because of the loggers. I hunted a spot several years back that was near the logging road where the trucks would go up the mountain in the morning. Like clock work, approximately 15 to 30 minutes after the trucks would travel through, the deer would show up.... :)

LOL If I can get permission from the landowner I love to get a quickie before work :D
 
Went to my little 35 acre farm today and the guy that bought the 45 acres beside me last month at auction already has a logging crew cutting. I tried to buy it, but was out bid. I am hopeing they will be done cutting before the start of the season. Sure did mess up my plans for archery, because the three acre food plot that the deer traveled accross me to get to for the past two years is now a log yard. Oh well, I guess I will just have to regroup and figure out where they will go now, LOL!
 
I bet it won't hurt a thing, especially if they're gone before season opens. That place will have some major cover on it in the next years.
 
Hunting in Ohio a few yrs ago and a timber comp. had been logging a ridge for about a month before gun season opened,I was setting just across the top of the ridge from the loggers as they were sawing,pulling and hauling and could even hear the Bulls**** while on their break and killed a nice 8pnt about 10 oclock just walking out the ridge like an average day.
 
The Deer would come and check out the new cut areas as soon as the crews shut the equipment down. On weekends the crews would leave well before sunset or I would even hunt an area they cut a few days prior. Also when everything grows back and is about 3 foot tall in a few years it will hold even more Deer.
It's not a bad time to hunt, the noise may get on your nerves but if you keep your eyes open you will see Deer.

That really is the biggest problem. I've hunted while active logging was ongoing, and really the only major problem was the roar of the machinery.
 
Not to worry...............the deer barely pay them any mind and if anything are attracted to the downed tree tops to feed on and the open space almost immediately starts sprouting new growth from new rain. It is a plus by many respects.
