Will it hurt my trees

I only got half of my chestnuts and red mulberry trees planted this past weekend and am planning on potting the rest.I have them in my refrigerator in a bucket wrapped in a wet towel.will the cold kill them right now?I want to pot some of these seedlings to water all summer and transplant in the fall.Have I already killed them by putting in the refrigerator?the roots have remained moist.

I would get em out the fridge now,should be trying to green up.
