work on a rifle and a muzzleloader? I have only seen commercials with it on a muzzleloader!
 
ITS CALIBRATED AND TURRETED FOR A 250 GR SHOCKWAVE 50 CAL BULLET. YOU COULD ZERO IT JUST FINE BUT BDC PART MIGHT NOT BU USABLE ON RIFLE. JMO
 
I think BDC reticles are just a bunch of hype. Any BDC reticle will work with your rifle. You just have to determine what range the reticle is set for on your rifle with the cartridge you are using. In other words, what they call the 200yd reticle may actually be 237 yds for you. You just have to take the time and the money to determine what range each reticle actually is for you.

I agree except the hype part.
I put a Pro Staff on my muzz (calibrated for center fire) works great once I dialed her in with my load and distances corresponding to the dots & lines.
Saved some$$$$$
Use one on Leupold shooting 270 wsm out to 500 yds.

I think they are a bunch of hype because mildot reticles have been around since scopes were invented practically and bdc's are just a light version of a mildot. Its also hype because they try to make you believe that you just slap the scope on your rifle and the 300yd line/circle is going to automajically work flawlessly for your rifle/cartridge when you really need to put in the time and money to determine what each line/circle truly represents for the load you are shooting. I am not saying they don't work and they are a waste of money. I am saying they are useless unless you put in the time and attention required to make it work for you. Even though I do prefer Nikon to Leupold, I do prefer Leupold's lines to Nikon's circles. Of course, I would probably just get Nikons mildot reticle over both.

Or save most of this type hassle and get a Zeiss Rapid Z rifle scope..... use their calculations based on your gun and bullet loads. They give you the zoom setting for anything past 200 yards and then you just go to the range and verify......
